Leo does well with feedback, not because you need validation (you’re allowed to enjoy it, but it’s not the only thing holding you up), but because feedback is data, and you’re genuinely good at using data to calibrate. Working without it requires a different set of skills: trusting your own read on the work without someone else’s read to confirm it.

That discomfort is worth sitting with rather than acting on immediately. It tends to tell you something about whether the work matters to you or whether you’ve just gotten used to the idea of it. Those are different things, and they call for different responses.

Notice the difference between working without an audience and hiding work from one. The first is a phase. The second is a choice that deserves a closer look.

Notice also whether the work you’re doing when no one is watching is the work you most want to be doing, or whether you’re still calibrating it for a room that doesn’t exist yet.
