The theme of the day

Something you feel has been going through a translation process before you allow it to be said. The original version arrives, and before it makes it out of you, it passes through revisions. It gets made less intense. It gets made more reasonable. It gets fitted into a vocabulary that sounds less like something that would require an uncomfortable response from whoever is listening.

This is a familiar process for Pisces, and it is not always the wrong choice. There are feelings that need time to be understood before they can be communicated, and the translation work can be part of that understanding. But there is a difference between translating something so you can express it more precisely and translating something until it is small enough not to inconvenience anyone.

The second version leaves you technically having said something while actually having said a different thing. The response comes back addressed to the edited version, and the thing you actually meant is still waiting.

The money lens

In practical terms, this pattern shows up around what you say you need versus what you actually need. The amount you say you can accept versus the amount that would genuinely be fair. The scope of work you agree to versus the scope that is actually sustainable.

Each of these involves a translation, and each translation tends to move in the same direction: toward less, toward smaller, toward what seems likely to be accepted without friction. Worth noting: the friction-avoidance approach often produces more friction in the end. The version of the situation that emerges when the gap between what was said and what was needed has been compounding for long enough is harder to address than the original honest conversation would have been.
