The theme that day: The proposal that came back with more questions
The theme of the day
You submitted something careful — a plan, a proposal, a detailed piece of work — and it came back with a list of questions or revisions. The feedback is not hostile. It is, in fact, reasonably thoughtful. But some of it asks you to elaborate on things you already addressed, or to add layers that would make the document longer without making it better.
Virgo has a specific challenge here, because you tend to take all feedback equally seriously, regardless of its source or its actual merit. The note from someone who didn’t read carefully enough gets the same meticulous response as the note from someone who caught a genuine gap. Today is a day to sort the feedback into piles: what is actually making the work better, and what is making it more elaborate without making it better?
Not all revisions are improvements. The version that answers the legitimate questions while declining to honor the low-signal ones is often the stronger submission.
The money lens
In financial or professional terms, there is a cost to over-responding to under-informed feedback. It takes time that could go to the next thing. It can also subtly reposition you as someone who defers rather than someone who leads. Check today whether your response to the revision request is calibrated to the quality of the request.
A short, clear answer to a question asked in bad faith is sometimes the best financial decision you can make with your time.
What to notice today
Notice whether the feedback you received made you feel slightly defensive or slightly energized. The honest answer to that question tells you something about whether the feedback is useful. Energized usually means the feedback found something real. Defensive sometimes means the same thing, but it can also mean the feedback was off-base, and only you know which one is true.
Also notice whether you are already planning to incorporate all of it before you have decided whether all of it deserves to be incorporated.
A grounding line
The work does not improve every time it gets more complicated. Sometimes the revision that makes it better is a shorter one.
