The Abundance Arcana Your Birth Card reading Birth Card

You asked

Where does my energy actually go all day?

By four in the afternoon the tank reads low, and when you try to account for it, the ledger doesn't add up. The meetings weren't that long. The errands weren't that heavy. And yet something spent the day's supply, quietly, off the books. For most of us the unlisted expenses are attentional: the tab left open in the mind for a conversation that might go badly, the low-level scanning of other people's moods, the seventeen small decisions about tone before a two-line message gets sent.

Days rarely drain us through their named events. They drain through the hum between events — the keeping-track, the almost-saying, the rehearsing. Which is good news, in a quiet way, because the named events are often non-negotiable, while the hum sometimes loosens the moment it is noticed. You cannot cancel the meeting. You may be able to stop attending the imaginary one that runs alongside it.

So before the shelf, try one honest minute of bookkeeping. Walk back through today, or yesterday, and notice the moment the tide actually went out — not where it was supposed to, where it did. Hold that moment loosely. Then take the three breaths, just to arrive, and choose your sky.

Three slow breaths, just to arrive. Skippable, always.
