The theme of the day

There’s something you haven’t decided yet. Not because you don’t have enough information — you probably have more than enough. Libra’s reputation for indecision often gets framed as a character flaw, but it’s more accurate to call it a form of risk management. If you commit, you give up the alternative. The alternative might have been better. So you keep the alternative alive until deciding becomes unavoidable, at which point the decision often gets made under pressure and feels worse than it would have if you’d moved earlier.

Today it might be worth examining one specific open question and asking how many days it’s been sitting there. Not to shame yourself, but because the duration is useful information. A question that’s been open for three days is usually still genuinely uncertain. One that’s been open for three months has usually already been answered by circumstances. You’re just waiting to say so out loud.

The money lens

In financial life, the kept-open option often looks like a subscription you’re not canceling because you might use it, a negotiation you’re delaying because you’re not sure of your footing, or an offer you received that you’re sitting on because saying no feels permanent. Meanwhile the calendar is quietly making decisions on your behalf.

Pick one thing that’s been in suspension. What would it take to move it one step in either direction? Not to decide the whole thing. Just to get it to a clearer next place.

What to notice today

Notice when you use language like “I’m still thinking about it” and ask whether that’s accurate. Are you actively thinking, or has the thinking stopped and the waiting begun?

Also notice what you’re avoiding when you avoid the decision. Usually there’s something specific underneath it: a conversation, a disappointment, a risk. Naming that thing tends to be more useful than more deliberation.

Staying in the middle is a choice too. If you’re going to stay there, own it consciously rather than letting it hold you.
