The theme that day: The shorter path you talked yourself out of
The theme of the day
There is a route to what you want that is shorter, simpler, and less interesting to describe than the one you are currently on. You noticed it early. You considered it briefly, found it insufficient, and moved on to something that involved more steps, more scope, more territory to cover.
The shorter path did not feel wrong exactly. It felt too obvious. Sagittarius tends to think at a scale that makes small answers suspect: if the solution fits in a single step, it probably is not the real solution. This preference for scope and distance is often a genuine strength. It builds things that small-thinking approaches miss. Today, it may be costing you something real.
The simpler version does not mean the shallow one. There are questions you could have answered last week rather than next month if you had not added prerequisite steps. There is a version of what you are building that would function as a working thing if you stopped expanding the perimeter. The complex approach is not always the deeper one. Sometimes it is just more expensive.
The money lens
In professional or financial terms, this tendency shows up as an overly complex route to something that had a direct path available. A partnership arrangement that needed three intermediary agreements when one would have worked. A product with two additional features before it could be offered. A pitch that had to prove four things when the client needed to hear one.
Complexity in your professional life is sometimes genuinely necessary and often worth creating. It can also function as a way of staying in planning mode longer than the situation requires, which delays revenue, feedback, and completion in ways that feel like thoroughness but are closer to postponement.
What to notice today
Notice the impulse to add steps when a step is about to be completed. Notice when you introduce a new layer to a plan right as that plan was approaching a decision point. Ask what the new layer is actually doing: is it necessary, or is it postponing arrival?
Notice also how you explain the simpler option to yourself. If the explanation focuses primarily on what the simple path lacks rather than what it provides, that is worth examining. Lack of complexity is not the same as lack of quality.
A grounding line
Complexity is not the same as depth. The shorter path is still a path, and it gets you there faster.
