Many money readings that bring up this card are pointing at a moment where pushing harder isn’t actually available as a real option, where the usual tools have stopped working and something else, something more uncomfortable, is being asked. That something tends to be a shift in perspective rather than a change in behavior.

The numeral XII places him one step before Death, one step before transformation. He’s the last moment before the old frame breaks.
